This year marks the 90th birthday of the CPC and it is the first year for carrying out the 12th Five-Year Plan, he said, underlining the need to steadily conduct this work with high sense of responsibility so as to direct efforts to celebrating the 90th birthday of the CPC, accelerating the scientific development and creating atmosphere for strengthened harmony of society.

He also called for concentrating efforts on the creation of atmosphere of doing substantial things for popular masses and well doing work with them and building a good international image of China developing in peace.
