The South Headquarters of Pomminryon has vigorously advanced along the road of national independence and great unity since its formation, the statement said.

The south-north relations have favorably developed since the publication of the June 15 joint declaration. But they were driven to a catastrophe owing to the moves of the U.S. and sycophantic treacherous forces against reunification, bringing dark clouds of a war to hang heavily over the Korean Peninsula, it deplored.

The history and the reality clearly show that the unity and reunification are the ways for the Koreans to exist and prosper, it said. It called upon all the Koreans to give further momentum to the solidarity movement among the people in the south and the north and overseas.

It emphasized that the South Headquarters of Pomminryon would stage more dynamic movement for national reunification.
