Paektusan Prize Sports Contest Closes

| Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- The Paektusan Prize Sports Contest was closed with due ceremony at the Basketball Gymnasium in Chongchun Street on Monday. It was opened on Feb. 8 on the occasion of the birthday of General Secretary Kim Jong Il. Competed there were 10 events including volleyball, basketball and handball. Present at the ceremony were Kang Nung Su, officials concerned and sportspersons. Prizes were awarded to the organizations and players which proved successful at the contest. Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Pak Myong Chol made a closing address. |
