First Crop Likely to Be Adversely Affected by Snow

| Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- It snowed after raining in most areas of the DPRK Sunday. According to data available, Kosong County had 50 mm rainfall, Jangphung County 41 mm and Kosan County 39 mm from 00:00 am Sunday to 9:00 am Monday. The rain was followed by heavy snowfalls in different parts of the country, including Kangwon and South Hamgyong provinces. The snow lies 38 cm deep in Kosong County, 32 cm in Thongchon County, 27 cm in Wonsan City, 25 cm in Sepho County and 23 cm in Hamhung City. Agricultural experts are of the view that the snow will adversely affect first crop sowing. |
