The 190-meter-deep spring contains chlorine, calcium bicarbonate, sodium, iron and other ingredients good for health.

The mineral water is efficacious for chronic gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, chronic enteritis and colitis, chronic bronchitis, diabetes, skin diseases, hypertension and peripheral nervous disorder.

Kim Hyon Suk, a 78-year-old woman in Taedonggang District, Pyongyang, told KCNA that she has taken the mineral water for two decades to enjoy a good health.

The spring was named by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
