New Methods for Improving Diet

Pyongyang, March 3 (KCNA) -- Scientists of the Food Research Institute under the DPRK State Academy of Sciences have made achievements in the researches for improving diet. They invented a new production method of yontubu (soft bean curd) good for health. They developed a yontubu coagulant in a microbiological way. They also made powdered lactic bacteria for kimchi and completed a new kimchi preparing method. Besides, they succeeded in making tasty and nutritive "cheese" with bean porridge and extracting natural food colors from plant roots. |
