The Ministry of Agriculture has regularly provided farms throughout the country with videos showing agricultural scientific and technological achievements.

It has also informed agricultural guidance organs in each province, city and county of estimated crop growth, weather forecast and necessary technological measures, so that the farms can cultivate all crops in a scientific way suitable to their soil and climate conditions.

Meanwhile, all the agricultural guidance organs and co-op farms have introduced advanced farming methods and technology in season under their long-term plans.

Mud snails have been used to weed rice fields in the Mangyongdae Vegetable Farm in Pyongyang and many farms in Yomju County of North Phyongan Province, Pongchon County of South Hwanghae Province, Hwangju County of North Hwanghae Province and other areas.

The number of agricultural engineers and associate engineers has steadily increased in the country through the study-while-working system.

Many effective farm machines have been invented by them.
