A joint resolution of the north and the south was made public there on the occasion of the anniversary.

The resolution called on the organizations of the national movement in the north and the south to pool their efforts and wage a movement for national reunification by carrying forward the spirit of sovereignty and independence of the participants in the March First Popular Uprising and thus conduct a dynamic mass movement for foiling the Japanese reactionaries' moves to stage a comeback to Korea and forcing them to make an apology and reparation for their past crimes.

Declaring that the Koreans will resolutely oppose all sorts of treacherous and anti- reunification acts of infringing upon the interests of the Koreans in collusion with outside forces, the resolution called on them to go united as one under the banner of "By our nation itself!" to achieve the great unity of the nation and vigorously advance along the road of independent reunification
