The statement chided the present "government" for zealously helping Japan in its moves to revive militarism, far from wresting apology and reparation for Japan's past crimes.

The authorities have worked hard to tighten the military tie-up with Japan since the outset of the year after bringing troops of the Japan "Self-Defense Forces" even to the waters off Tok Islets during the joint military exercises staged with the U.S. last year, the statement noted, and went on:

The chief executive in an "address marking the March First Popular Uprising" again cried out for advancing toward the future, not bound to the past history. This is an insult to the people enraged at Japan.

The statement demanded that the authorities stop the pro-Japanese actions and roll back at once the scheme to conclude a military agreement with Japan.
