The book contains writings by 84 students. They include more than 350 pieces of children's songs and poems, words of songs, lyrics, essays and short stories.

Children's poems "Mansu Hill", "Footprints of the General" and "Pistol of Mother Kim Jong Suk" and other works praise the undying feats performed by President Kim Il Sung, General Secretary Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero.

There are also works reflecting school youth and children growing up to be successors of the revolution and pillars who would should up Songun Korea while bringing their hope into full bloom under the care of the Workers' Party of Korea. Other works show the reality of the country in which great innovations and leap forward take place.

Comments made by teachers of literature and writers and their experience gained in writing works are introduced in the collection.
