S. Korea-Japan Military Tie-up Blasted
Pyongyang, March 5 (KCNA) -- At least 20 organizations of south Korea held a press conference in Seoul on Tuesday, the 92nd anniversary of the March First Popular Uprising, and released a declaration jointly adopted with civic and public organizations of Japan. They included the Solidarity for Progress, the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration and the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification.

The declaration demanded the Japanese government make apology and reparation for its past crimes.

It accused Japan of taking a zealous part in the U.S.-south Korea joint war maneuvers targeted against the DPRK and, at the same time, stepping up the moves to conclude a military agreement with south Korea.

The military tie-up between south Korea and Japan is coiling up the tensions on the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia, it noted.

It urged Japan and the south Korean authorities to halt the moves to tighten the dangerous military nexus and make a switchover in their hostile policy toward the DPRK.
