Chinese Military Expert Terms US-S. Korea Military Exercises Harmful

| Beijing, March 2 (KCNA) -- The Chinese Beijing Daily on March 1 carried an article contributed by a professor at the China National Defense University blasting the U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises. The author said that the objective of the joint military exercises was to make preparations for striking the DPRK's major military targets. Raising a question as to what consequences will be entailed by such military exercises in light of the situation on the Korean Peninsula, he stressed: As declared by the DPRK, these war maneuvers do more harm than good. It is the judgment of the DPRK that the U.S., south Korea and Japan are set to take a series of actions straining the regional situation this year, too. Under this situation, our attention is focused on what card the DPRK will play. |
