Joint Action for Women's Rights Declared in S. Korea

Pyongyang, March 7 (KCNA) -- The Joint Planning Team for March 8 World Women's Day of south Korea called on the south Korean women to pool their efforts to win their rights. It declared this at a press conference in Seoul on March 3.

Speakers at the conference said that the women's living conditions have worsened in south Korea due to the Lee Myung Bak regime's anti-women and anti-labor policy.

The organization will stage a women's joint action with March 8 as an occasion to bring the miserable situation of the women home to the south Koreans and let them win equal rights, they said.

It made public a letter of protest denouncing the puppet authorities' unpopular policy of discriminating women.
