President Kim Il Sung, learning that the list of the participants in a state banquet did not include a representative of works, had taken a measure to send a plane to the works and take the smelter to Pyongyang.

Next day, the New Year, the President entered the banquet hall looking over the participants and stopped before the smelter.

The President asked him about the operation of the smelting furnace and inquired after health of other smelters and his family members.

He then introduced him to other participants, praising him as a hero who played a big role in the production of 270,000 tons of pig iron and offered a toast to him.
