Highlighted at the seminar were methods of applying acupuncture and compound Koryo medicines to intractable diseases.

In recent years, the country opened up a new phase of modern medical science by renewing the theory of Koryo medicine.

The efficiency of acupuncture and moxibustion has been proved and new methods of Koryo medical treatment developed.

They are applied to such intractable diseases as arrhythmia, angine pectoris, hypertension, thrombopenia, allergic dermatitis and eyesight disorder.

Besides, methods for treating spontaneous gangrene, early-stage cataract and spontaneous bradyacusia have also been established theoretically.
