New Kind of Battery Developed

| Pyongyang, March 8 (KCNA) -- A new kind of battery developed by the Catalyst Research Institute of Kim Il Sung University has proved effective in the Anju Area Coal Mining Complex and others. The battery, with a 30-hour discharge, is suitable for mines and collieries. As it is airtight, the battery gives no gas emission when being charged. The light battery is easy to handle and its serviceable life is three times that of other models. Its production cost is 20 percent lower than others. |
