They are the Committee for Supporting the Reunification of Korea, Committee for Promotion of Reunification of Korea, Journalist Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Politics, Association for Supporting the Songun Politics, Peace Action Committee and the Press Club.

We express concern over the grave situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula due to the joint military exercises, the statement said, and went on:

The joint military maneuvers kicked off by the U.S. imperialists and their followers despite the repeated warnings of the DPRK and the strong denunciation and protest at home and abroad are a grave threat to the peace of not only the Korean Peninsula but the rest of Asia.

The world peace-loving people sincerely desire peace and stability on the peninsula.

The statement strongly demanded the U.S. pull its forces out of south Korea.
