Active Dialogues Needed for Resumption of Six-party Talks, Chinese Diplomat
Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- Active contacts and dialogue are needed for early resumption of six-party talks on the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, a Chinese diplomat said Tuesday.

"The six-party talks still remain stalled with weak momentum of dialogues," said Huang Wei, China's deputy envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Huang said that "getting the relevant issues back to the track of dialogue and consultation is the best option to ease the current situation and continue to push ahead the process of Korean peninsula's denuclearization."

It will also be conducive to maintaining peace and stability in the Northeast Asia region, Huang told a meeting of the 35-nation IAEA board of governors.

Meanwhile, all sides should grasp the moment, actively engage in dialogues with political wisdom and courage, so as to create conditions for early resumption of the six-party talks, Huang said.
