Rihyon-ri, Sadong District of Pyongyang is associated with immortal feats performed by President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il. They provided field guidance to the ri several times, turning it into a socialist village good to work and live in.

The President visited Rihyon-ri early in January 1960. He guided a general meeting of the Ri Party Committee in the wake of the party members consultative meeting of the Committee, putting forward an ordinary girl agitator as a frontranker in transforming people in the Chollima era to be known throughout the country.

Kim Jong Il made sure that the Rihyon Revolutionary Museum was founded to eternally glorify the leadership feats of the President and has wisely led it.

Over the last three decades since the foundation of the museum, officials and employees there have discovered and arranged historic relics associated with the peerlessly great men, turning it into a good centre for the education in the revolutionary traditions.
