S. Korea Hit by Forest Fires

| Pyongyang, March 12 (KCNA) -- Different parts of south Korea were hit by forest fires on March 9, causing serious damage, KBS of south Korea said. The fire that broke out on a hillock of Haenam County, South Jolla Province, rapidly spread by strong wind, reducing 20,000 square meters of forest in Koksong County to ashes. 6,000 square meters of forest were burnt in Nyongwol County, Kangwon Province of south Korea. On the day, Ulsan and five other parts of south Korea were hit by forest fires, causing big damage. |
