Chen Zhili, vice-chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress and chairwoman of the All-China Women's Federation, in an address said that this album serves as mental wealth of the international women's movement as it records a century-long history of the Chinese women's movement.

The album is a large historic one, the first of its kind in the Chinese history of press, as it deals with the historical course in which a broad strata of Chinese women took an active part in the revolutionary movement under the leadership of the party and have devoted their efforts to the economic and social development in each period of the revolution.
