The commentary said: At a session of the "National Assembly" on March 8 it was disclosed that the Ministry of Land and Seas changed by stealth the name of "Tokdo" (Tok Islets) Comprehensive Marine Science Base into "Tonghae" (East Sea) Comprehensive Marine Science Base.

This disclosure touched off strong criticism among people from all walks of life, it noted.

The commentary accused the authorities of letting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade make people gradually forget Tok Islets.

Japan is becoming evermore persistent and undisguised in its ambition to grab Tok Islets, it said, expressing the hope that the "government" will stop trying to make Tok Islets fade away from the minds of people but make them forget Japan.
