The Korean Friendship Association positively supports the March 1 statement of a spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry and the February 27 statement of the Panmunjom mission of the Korean People's Army, the statement said, and continued:

The DPRK proposed dialogue and negotiations for peace and detente on the Korean Peninsula.

The south Korean authorities do not want peace on the peninsula and opt for confrontation with the compatriots.

The DPRK, boasting of the might of a single-minded unity, has never said empty words.

Just is the stand of the army and people of the DPRK to react to the aggressors' nuclear blackmail with Korean-style nuclear deterrent and to their missile threat with missile strike.

The Korean Friendship Association is convinced that the army and people of the DPRK would firmly defend sovereignty and dignity of the country by countering the aggression moves of the U.S. imperialists and south Korean puppet group with decisive military measures.
