US Ulterior Aim to Round off Formation of Military Alliance Disclosed

Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- The United States is mulling opening a meeting of what it called "security consultative committee" for tightening the alliance with Japan in May at a time when it is ceaselessly staging joint military exercises with Japan and south Korea. Rodong Sinmun Monday observes in a signed commentary in this regard: Lurking behind this move is a criminal aim to round off the formation of the triangular military alliance involving the U.S., Japan and south Korea as it is designed to tighten the new military nexus with Japan. Last year Japan and south Korea laid a new cornerstone for military tie-up called a "joint declaration on security," boosting the cooperation for aggression. This year the U.S. seeks to set up a pillar called "security consultative committee" on it in a bid to push forward the moves for tightening the alliance with Japan in real earnest. The U.S. has built the framework of the triangular military alliance through "the Mutual Defense Treaty" with south Korea and through "the Security Pact" with Japan. When Japan concludes a "treaty for compressive use and protection of military intelligence," etc. with south Korea, the triangular military alliance will be rounded off as a law, in actuality. Through the tightened U.S. -Japan alliance and the formation of the triangular military alliance the U.S. warlike forces seek to form a double alliance with Japan, strictly subordinate it to the U.S. war policy and plug south Korea into it in a bid to secure an unchallenged military edge in Asia and knock into shape a military bloc for aggression capable of standing against their potential rivals and anti-imperialist independent countries. The U.S. would be well advised to bear in mind that the triangular military alliance designed to escalate the military confrontation and spark a war would get it nowhere. |
