The commentary accused the "Grand National Party" of making a decision to reappoint Choe Si Jung, chairman of the Committee of Broadcasting Services and News Agency, whose term of office is to expire on March 25.

Recalling that he took the lead in helping Lee Myung Bak bring media under his control, the commentary noted: Due to his bad role a large number of citizens were subject to forced searches and arrested and put in custody for their media activities. This stoked a terror-ridden atmosphere.

For his past record ill-famed for activities to stamp out democracy and strengthen dictatorship Choe Si Jung cannot but be branded as a member of an action group for "government's" propaganda, the commentary held.

The reappointment of Choe precisely means a move to reduce the committee to a mechanism for public security, the commentary noted, demanding him appear people's court.
