Step for Compulsory Education Taken by China

Beijing, March 13 (KCNA) -- The Ministry of Education of China adopted a memorandum on the balanced development of compulsory education together with people's governments of 15 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in Beijing on March 9.

State Councilor Liu Yandong underscored the need to push forward the standardization of the construction of the schools which introduce compulsory education and make a balanced distribution of teachers, facilities, books, school buildings, etc. in a bid to comprehensively improve the quality of education.
