Lebanon Complains to UN over Israeli Violation of Regional Waters

| Pyongyang, March 18 (KCNA) -- Lebanon filed a complaint on March 14 to the United Nations Security Council over the Israeli violation of its regional waters earlier this year. The Lebanese Foreign Ministry said in a statement that an Israeli warship briefly entered Lebanon's regional waters on Feb. 2 and it opened fire with machine guns towards the Lebanese waters. The complaint stated that this action is a "blatant violation of Lebanon's sovereignty, Security Council Resolution 1701, and the UN Charter." |
