The measure has been taken in the wake of explosions at a Japanese nuclear plant following a devastating earthquake-tsunami last Friday.

Authorized officers of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India at Indian ports and airports have been asked by the government to get food originating from Japan after March 11, 2011 to be tested for radiation, according to Press Trust of India on Wednesday.
