LPRP Congress Opens

| Pyongyang, March 19 (KCNA) -- The 9th National Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party opened on Thursday in the capital city of Vientiane. Present there were 576 delegates. General Secretary of the Central Committee of LPRP Choummaly Saynasone gave a political report. In the report he detailed achievements and challenges over the past five years after the 8th National Congress of the party. The congress will continue until March 21. |
