CPLA Soldiers Render Help to Dig Wells

| Beijing, March 19 (KCNA) -- Soldiers in Beijing and Lanzhou military areas of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (CPLA) are rendering help in digging wells as part of measures against drought damage in Shandong, Henan and Hebei provinces of the country. 38 wells had been sunk in those provinces by more than 1,000 service persons of the CPLA in the above-said areas as of Mar. 10. The completion of the wells made it possible to solve the issue of drinking water for at least one million people in rural areas and water more than 73,000 wu of cropland. |
