India Orders Review of Nuclear Safety System

| New Delhi, March 20 (KCNA) -- Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said that India has ordered a review of safety systems of all its nuclear plants to ensure they withstand "large natural disasters" like tsunamis and earthquakes. "The government attaches the highest importance to nuclear safety," Singh added. The measure has been taken by the requests of the Indian nuclear experts in the wake of explosions of nuclear reactors in Japan. |
