Ponghwa Revolutionary Site Visited by Crowds of Soldiers and People

Pyongyang, March 22 (KCNA) -- The Ponghwa Revolutionary Site in Kangdong County, Pyongyang, was visited by large crowds of servicepersons, working people and school youth and children on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the Korean National Association. This place is associated with the immortal exploits Kim Hyong Jik, an indomitable revolutionary fighter, performed by organizing and leading the anti-Japanese national liberation struggle from the middle of March 1916 to November 1917. The visitors went round different places including a house, the place on Mt. Ponghwa where a secret meeting was held, the Monument to Pisoko-gye and the Maekjon Ferry. They looked round historical mementoes and materials at the Ponghwa-ri Revolutionary Museum while being briefed on the fact that he formed the KNA and conducted energetic activities to expand its organizations to vast areas at home and abroad. |
