Chongryon set up the Center for Consulting Marriage of Korean Youth in Japan on March 23, 1994, in order to give continuity to the tradition of the nation by helping more Koreans in Japan realize their marriages.

The Center has a well-regulated system of local centers and prefectural matrimonial advice offices.

It has conducted positive activities to preserve national character despite the Japanese reactionaries' undisguised moves against the DPRK and Chongryon over the past period.

Chongryon, regarding the issue of marriage between Koreans as an important matter of Korean families and Korean community, has exerted efforts to motivate in every way all organizations and matrimonial advice offices for Koreans in Tokyo and local areas of Japan to help as many Korean boys and girls as possible in getting married.
