The general secretary said President Kim Il Sung made great contribution to the cause of socialism. He praised the President as a great man who performed undying feats in building the Korean party, state and army.

Expressing admiration at the Songun feats of General Secretary Kim Jong Il who bolstered the national power of the DPRK, he further said:

We wish Kim Jong Il great success in his work to lead the Korean people in their drive to glorify 2012 marking the centenary of birth of Kim Il Sung as a year of shining victory to be specially recorded in the history of building a thriving nation.

We are convinced that the relations between the Togolese People's Rally and the Workers' Party of Korea will further develop.

Saying that Togo and the DPRK have long developed the friendly and cooperative relations, the prime minister expressed the belief that these relations would grow stronger.
