Lao Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong who is a member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, said this on March 25 when he met and had a talk with a delegation of the DPRK Information Committee headed by Vice-Chairman Jong Yong Chol.

He extended sincere congratulations to General Secretary Kim Jong Il upon his reelection as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea at the Conference of the WPK last year.

The Lao party and government positively support the Songun politics and the reunification cause of the DPRK and are convinced that the friendly relations between the two countries would further develop, he noted.

He wished the Korean people greater success in their drive to increase the defense capacity of the country, defend the gains of the revolution and build a thriving nation under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.
