Martin Lotscher, chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

A statement, adopted at the inaugural ceremony, said that the President is the great national hero, liberator and savior of the Korean people as he founded the Juche idea, the Songun idea and, on this basis, led the Korean revolution to victory.

The preparatory committee will set the days from March 20 to April 20 as a commemoration period and post on Internet websites works of the President and articles on his feats and hold colorful political and cultural events in the period, it said.
