In an article titled "Popular Leader" on March 24 Ekota said that the President was a genuine popular leader.

With the idea of "The people are my God" he gave full play to the inexhaustible strength of the people with due care and thus built the country into a socialist powerful state independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence, it noted.

Natun Katha in an article titled "Kim Il Sung, Eternal President" on March 22 said that Kim Il Sung is the father of socialist Korea which is now displaying its dignity as a politico-ideological, military, scientific and technological giant in the international community.

General Secretary Kim Jong Il is creditably carrying forward the idea and cause of the President, the article noted.
