China Launches New Round of Inspections of Food

Beijing, March 29 (KCNA) -- China started a new round of national inspections of the enforcement of the Food Safety Law. Wu Bangguo, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress, addressing the recent first plenary session of the inspection groups for the enforcement of the above-said law of the Standing Committee of the CNPC held in Beijing, said that food safety is related to the health of the people and their safety, adding that the inspections are aimed to settle problems in enforcing the above-said law. He asked lawmakers to lead in-depth, comprehensive inspections and to conduct supervision to be sure the State Council, or the Cabinet, and relevant government departments "never slack off in their work in safeguarding food safety so as to let the public rest assured." |
