Notice on Day of Sun Issued by British Organizations

Pyongyang, April 1 (KCNA) -- The British preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung and the Coordinating Committee of the British Friends of the DPRK issued a notice on March 25 on the occasion of the Day of the Sun, the birthday of the President.

This year, the DPRK is forwarding multifarious plans to defend the gains of the revolution and bring about a decisive turn in improving the people's standard of living, the notice said, referring to the Korean people's efforts to open the gate to a thriving nation at an early date.

The organizations will widely introduce the great revolutionary life and immortal feats of Kim Il Sung and arrange a joint seminar with a view to further strengthening the friendship with the DPRK, it said.

The notice also stressed the need to hold a seminar on such themes as the Korean people's efforts for building a thriving nation, the Juche idea and the Songun politics, the socialist system of the DPRK and the Korean Peninsula.
