The statement said:

It showed the international community the DPRK's efforts to defuse the acute tension prevailing on the Korean Peninsula.

But, the south Korean group of traitors launched dangerous military exercises instead of responding to the proposal.

This proves that the group has no willingness to improve the north-south relations.

The U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises are part of war scheme for aggression on the DPRK.

Neither huge nuclear offensive means aimed at preemptive attack nor any moves will frighten the DPRK.

The DPRK does not mount preemptive attack on anyone but has self-defensive deterrent.

We strongly condemn the U.S. and the south Korean puppet group for their hostile moves against the DPRK.

The Committee struggling for global peace calls upon the progressive people of the world to heighten the vigilance against the U.S. moves to ignite a new war.
