Present at the festival were presidents of different countries including Iran, Tajikistan and Armenia and governmental high-ranking officials.

Diverse cultural and art events were held and a declaration on positively preserving the tradition of Nowrouz was issued at the festival.

Nowrouz means the new year in Persian language so it is celebrated in Iran, Azerbaijan, India, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and other countries.
