Nigerian National Seminar on President Kim Il Sung's Feats Held

Pyongyang, April 2 (KCNA) -- A Nigerian national seminar on the feats performed by President Kim Il Sung took place at Nasarawa University on March 23 on the occasion of his birth anniversary. Displayed in the venue of the seminar were works of General Secretary Kim Jong Il, photos showing his feats, books and photos introducing Songun Korea. M. M. Alhassan, chairman of the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, said in a keynote report that the President founded the Juche idea, ushered in an era of independence, defeated two imperialisms in one generation, built a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defense and devoted his whole life to the happiness of the people. A professor of the Political Faculty of University of Abuja said at the seminar that the President believed in the inexhaustible strength of the popular masses and believed in the people as in Heaven, adding that the President was the tender-hearted father of the people. A professor at the International Journalist University said that the DPRK has vigorously accelerated the building of an economic power despite the sanctions and blockade of the imperialist forces led by the U.S. and severe natural disasters, adding that this was something marvelous the secret of which was the embodiment of the Juche idea. Abdullahi Muhammad Yamma, chairman of the Nigerian Group for Self-Reliance Studies, said that Kim Jong Il has built the Korean People's Army into an elite invincible army. A letter to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the seminar. |
