The speakers at the conference recalled that the present conservative ruling forces' planned investigation of students was disclosed by the case of crackdown upon the economic and academic organization of university students.

The police shadowed and watched the members of the organization for the past three years and, not content with this, went the lengths of breaking into their houses and ransacking their personal belongings, the speakers condemned.

They urged the police to stop at once the moves to label the students organization an "enemy-benefiting organization" and release the arrested and detained members.
