Lao Vice-president on Relations with DPRK

| Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- Boungnang Vonachit, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party who is vice-president of Laos, on March 31 met and had a conversation with the military delegation of the Korean People's Army led by Pak Jae Gyong, vice-minister of the People's Armed Forces, on a visit to his country at the building of the presidency. He said that the friendly relations between Laos and the DPRK were provided and developed by Kaysone Phomvihane and President Kim Il Sung. He stressed that KPA has reliably defended the country and the revolutionary gains. Douangchai Phichith, vice-prime minister and minister of Defence of Laos, also met and had a conversation with the delegation on the same day. He noted that the Lao party and army have fully supported the army and people of the DPRK in the efforts to build a thriving nation while firmly protecting the socialist cause. He stressed that the Lao army would boost exchange and cooperation with KPA. |
