China Accuses Japan of Passing New Textbooks

Beijing, April 1 (KCNA) -- Jiang Yu, spokeswoman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at a press conference on March 31 said the ministry lodged a protest with the Japanese side against Japan's screening and passing new textbooks. Recalling the reports that the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology on Mar. 30 announced the results of the screening and passing of new textbooks and textbooks for public schools published by seven publishing houses described Diaoyu islands as part of Japan's territory, she declared that those islands and islets around them have been inherent parts of the territory of China since ancient times and it has indisputable sovereignty over them. |
