Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) -- The Teachers Union of south Korea in a statement on March 30 denounced Japan for its brazen-faced behavior aimed at grabbing Tok Islets. Noting that on the same day the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan passed through screening 12 kinds of textbooks claiming "dominium" over Tok Islets, the statement said: This is a provocative action fully revealing Japan's aggressive nature. It censured Japan for bringing into bolder relief its ambition for grabbing Tok Islets again despite the demand of the Koreans for deleting from the history textbooks the contents beautifying its past crimes. We strongly protest against the Japanese government's action of distorting the history and passing through screening textbooks aimed at grabbing Tok Islets, it said. Meanwhile, the south Korean Association of History Teachers issued a statement on April 1 to lodge a protest with Japan against such behavior. |
