Ri Myong Gil, chairman of the C.C., the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea, made a report at the meeting which was followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers said that Kim Jong Il's election to the top post of the NDC provided a sure guarantee for successful accomplishment of the revolutionary cause of Juche started in Mt. Paektu.

They noted that he strengthened the DPRK into the state of President Kim Il Sung and applied the Songun politics, making great achievements in the revolution and construction.

He has energetically led the drive to implement the agricultural policy of the Workers' Party of Korea in every period and at every stage of the developing revolution, they said.

They stressed that all the agricultural workers should attain the grain production goal for this year with sense of responsibility for the lifeline in improving the people's living standard and devote their patriotic zeal to building a thriving nation.
