Pyongyang, April 5 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Progress in south Korea issued a statement on March 31 to denounce the authorities for taking the lead in speaking for the interests of the U.S.

It was disclosed that the authorities are planning to make south Korea bear even the cost for transfer of the U.S. Second Division base, the statement said, adding:

The authorities deprived the inhabitants of land to offer the U.S. for realizing the strategic flexibility of the GIs pursuant to the U.S. military strategy. Not content with it, they seek to provide the fund for the transfer of military base.

The statement deplored that south Korea is in a position to bear even the cost for decontaminating the polluted land returned from the U.S. forces.

It demanded that the authorities abolish the alliance with the U.S., a main obstacle that threatens the people's vital rights and wrecks peace on the Korean Peninsula.
