Documentary and feature films will be screened at cinemas and cultural houses in Pyongyang and localities in the period.

The documentaries include "Finding Himself among the People All His Life", "President Kim Il Sung with the Anti-Japanese Revolutionary Veterans" and "They Were Always Together on the Road to Bring about the People's Well-being" while the feature films "Star of Korea", "The Sun of the Nation", "The Great Embrace" and "The Bright Morning".

Its opening ceremony took place at the People's Palace of Culture on Thursday.

Present there were Kang Nung Su, vice-premier of the Cabinet, officials concerned and officials of ministries and national institutions.

Minister of Culture An Tong Chun made an opening address.

Similar ceremonies were also held in provinces on the same day to start the ten-day film show.
