Korean April 26 Children's Film Studio

Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- The Korean April 26 Children's Film Studio was founded on September 7, Juche 46 (1957). It has produced a large number of interesting films suitable for children's mentality since it created a puppet film "Mysterious Peach" and an animated film "Golden Axe and Iron Axe" in 1960. A serial "The Clever Raccoon Dog" has made a hit at home and abroad. "A Winged Horse" and "Ants Roll a Melon" won diplomas at the 10th Red Cross and Public Health Film Festival held in Varna, Bulgaria in 1985 and "A Boy Defeats Robbers" a gold torch prize at the 1st International Film Festival of Non-aligned and Developing Countries. The studio has renewed itself with latest equipment and apparatuses. Its films are popular in other countries for their good themes and diverse methods of representation. The studio has made joint ventures with its partners in China, Philippines, France, Italy and other countries. |
